Inspiring the love of Music

Music is more than just an artform - it is a pathway to personal growth and transformation.

With all individuals being unique and different, lessons are customised for each student exclusively.

Lessons are built upon a good technical foundation, as well as the development of musical awareness and sensitivity. Each pupil will be presented with a holistic music education, where harp playing transcends beyond instrumental playing. Students will learn the importance of analytical skills, self-awareness, discipline and commitment.

Introduction Programme

Duration: 4 lessons

This introductory programme is ideal for those who want to explore the harp before committing to long-term lessons. It offers a gentle introduction to the instrument, covering essential foundations such as proper posture and technique, identifying the strings, reading notes on a stave, and playing simple songs from the very first lesson.

Perfect for beginners on the harp, this programme provides a hands-on experience that allows you to discover the joy of playing the harp in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Harp ABRSM Graded Exams

Graded practical exams offer an excellent way to track progress and provide a strong sense of achievement upon completion. Preparing for these exams goes beyond learning scales and pieces; it involves developing solid technique and a deeper understanding of each piece of music.

Students will also benefit from lessons that integrate principles from the Alexander Technique,  where the importance of maintaining good posture and body awareness is emphasized throughout the learning process. This holistic approach ensures that students not only prepare for exams but also build lasting habits for overall improvement and well-being.

Have a look at the video to find out more about how the Alexander Technique is helpful to musicians.

“Faith received her grade 4 results today, she did very well with a distinction and we are very pleased. Thank you for your guidance and teaching."

- Mrs Wong

"As an adult learner, I always thought that learning a new instrument will definitely be tough, especially the harp which at first looks incredibly complex! But Dora's patience and constant encouragement ever since the beginning has made the journey so much easier. What I enjoy most about her lessons is that we are taught to understand the music and convey those feelings to others.

Dora tailors her teaching to fit her students' needs, making every lesson enjoyable. Looking back, I managed to see my progress and how much l've learnt!"
